Today I get to turn 50! I’m upleveling. I’ve reached a milestone. I’m starting a new chapter.

Here’s a new post to help you prepare for the holidays. Be sure to read to the end, because I’ve got a special birthday offer for YOU!

Holiday Fashions that are Annual Favourites

During the festive season, whether you have grand parties or intimate gatherings to attend, bring a sense of occasion to your look.  Adding these holiday fashions to your wardrobe will elevate your look year after year for any Yuletide event. They will take you from the office party to NYE and all the spontaneous invitations in between.

Sparkle and Shine

If ever there was a time to bring on the bling, it’s the holidays. Now is the time to pile on the gold and silver jewellery. Throw on metallic shoes and tuck a shiny evening bag under your arm. Don’t be shy to wear that sequin skirt or shimmery dress. Pull out the cocktail rings. If you’re not one for accessories, start with a single sparkly thing and notice how you look more polished. It can take a while to get used to accessorizing, but once you do, you’ll be hooked.

Fabrics – Tulle, Taffeta and Velvet

If you’re pining for opulence, you can’t go wrong with a taffeta or tulle skirt to make you feel like a princess.  On the other hand, a velvet blazer or jumpsuit are great options for those who like their holiday fashions to have a sense of luxury but could do without the poof.

Black

Black is eternally chic for evening. If you’re going to wear head to toe black, add some texture, shine, or layers, so your outfit looks intentional and inspired rather than I-didn’t-know-what-else-to-wear-so-I-wore-black. Of course, you can always add a pop of colour be it from your nail polish, scarf or belt. Even your classic LBD should be tweaked to add personality and pizzazz. (btw I like the outfit below, not the cigarette.)

Where Did U Get That

Red

Is there a colour that symbolizes Christmas more than red? You can be bold as The Lady in Red, or you can be more understated as the-lady-in-kickass-red-shoes or the-lady-with-the-fabulous-red-lipstick. For a more casual look, consider a red buffalo plaid tunic with leather leggings and statement earrings. Easy breezy lemon drop squeezy.

A few of these keys pieces in your closet will have you party-ready at a moment’s notice.

Got enough on your “To Do” list already? I feel ya, Sweets. That’s what I’m here for. I have a couple of spots left for personal shopping clients before the holiday hustle bustle begins. A personal styling package also makes a great gift. Go ahead and drop some hints to your honey.
