A Joyful New Beginning

If you have been getting our newsletters and/or following us on Facebook, you know that founder Joyce Lau has left YMM to pursue other style avenues and I have taken over the company.

Running a new business and the start of a new year felt like the perfect opportunity to reflect on what I truly desired.  I realized I want to intentionally create more joy in my life and to design work I was passionate about.  If I was going to take this company full-on,  I wanted it to be something I fancied doing Every Single Day.   I didn’t want to create just another job for myself.

The truth is, I adore my clients and I do love my work. In the past few years, I have delighted in helping you put together outfits from pieces already in your closet in combinations you had not considered before.  I enjoyed giving you permission to release the items that no longer served you.  It’s been intensely satisfying for me to find the perfect accessories to make you sparkle.  I get a high from procuring more for your budget than you anticipated.  I am always thrilled to hear the compliments you receive from friends and family.   It’s been absolute bliss helping you feel gorgeous, polished and confident…but I still felt something was missing. 

 

 

I have worked as a solopreneur before and was craving a different experience.  I wanted someone to share the joy as well as the load.  I wanted a teammate, an ally, a consort, a partner.

I am so pleased to introduce to you our new stylist, Mara Arnold. Mara’s incredible sense of personal style and uncanny ability to make every outfit look expensive make her a true fashionista.  Becoming a mother herself last June meant she learned first hand what it means to have nothing to wear that fits and to have little time to shop for herself.  Mara completely understands how to look put together, yet remain unfussy.  Mara and I have been friends and shopping accomplices since 1997.
